Ricco Rosso

Red Blend

  • Harvest and Vinification Notes

Ricco Rosso is a rich blend of red grapes produced in the Marche Region in Central Italy. Thanks to the particular warm climate we are able to make a creamy, velvety red blend. Each varietal was harvested at its optimal ripeness and then harvested and fermented separately and later blended.

  • Tasting Notes

The name “Ricco” (Rich) refers to our rich blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes all grown, fermented, and vinted in stainless steel at controlled temperature. Ricco showcases the best quality of each variety: the intense bouquet of mature fruits of the Sangiovese, the soft tannins of the Merlot and the rich cherry flavor of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Marche is a charming hill-covered region in central Italy. Its striking and diverse landscape is composed of coastal cities and medieval towns to the east, which is entirely bordered by the Adriatic Sea. To the west, the Apennine Mountains line the internal boundary with Tuscany and Umbria, and the many verdant valleys are interspersed with rivers and punctuated with neat rows of grapevines and olive trees. In fact, the area’s climatic conditions and terrain are very favorable for viticulture, and vines have been present in the Marche region from time immemorial, as evidenced by the fossils found there dating to the Iron Age. The vineyards of MArche yield the Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of our Carletto Ricco Rosso blend.
