My sister and I have brainstormed what we can do to make life a little brighter, and our solution also benefits the environment! So, what is this extraordinary idea, you wonder? How Organic Wine is Made
In Italy, we celebrate La Vendemmia, our Harvest season in late August or early September. This is when our grapes are usually ready to pick, and the first step in the wine making process. Caterina and I had a great time in the vineyards helping harvest our grapes. We even brought back some childhood memories by grape stomping – an ancient Italian tradition!

What is organic wine and how is it different? Our Candoni Green organic wines are made from 100% organically grown grapes in the Veneto, Sicily, and Lombardy regions. The grape varieties used to make these wines are cultivated according to the organic agriculture method – free of fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and all other synthetic chemical substances. All Candoni Organic Wines are certified organically grown by the Italian government verification organization, ‘Suolo e Salute’. The unique land, terrain, and climate of each region gives our organic wine grapes an excellent quality and taste. Our family has developed three organic wines perfect for a variety of tastes – Organic Pinot Grigio, Organic Buongiorno, and Organic Merlot.

Organic wine is healthier than normal wine for several reasons. Because no fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, or any other synthetic chemicals are used to grow the grapes, the drinker can rest assured there are no harmful substances in the wine. Pretty cool, huh? My sister and I love knowing that the organic wine ingredients used to make our Pinot Grigio, Buongiorno, and Merlot are not only good for the environment, but do not harm animals either.
