As a child I remember my grandmother, Maria, preparing these cookies during the Holiday Season.
Around the holidays, all of my family members would unite at my grandparents’house.
After eating an elaborate lunch, the children and adults would all sit around the dining room table eating
these cookies and playing a traditional Game called “Tombola” (an Italian version of Bingo) together.
Today, we continue making these cookies for our family and friends as part of our holiday tradition, and we invite you to try this recipe for your loved ones this holiday season.
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 3. Shape level
tablespoons of dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. 4. Bake
for approximately 15 minutes or until cookies are pale golden brown. 5. Remove from the oven. Once they
have cooled place them onto a nice plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. 6. Store at room temperature
in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Pair with Candoni Moscato.
