I love going all out on the Halloween theme, so how about making a pumpkin wine bucket to make your Halloween celebration even more unique! All you need is a large pumpkin, a cutting board, a knife, ice, and a bowl.
Choose a large, wide pumpkin. First cut the top third of the pumpkin off. Then spoon out the insides and put the seeds aside if you are a fan of eating pumpkin seeds. (See below for a simple and delicious recipe)
To avoid the pumpkin becoming filled with water, you can line the inside with a bowl. If the pumpkin opening is a bit too small for the bowl, carefully shave the inside edge to increase the opening.
When it’s party time, add your favorite Candoni Wines and ice to chill.
Have fun and Happy Halloween!
Pumpkin Seed Recipe:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Clean the seeds by rinsing them in a colander under cold water, and then shake dry. Do not use a paper towel as the seeds will stick.
To dry the seeds, spread them in a single layer on an oiled baking sheet and roast 30 minutes to dry them.
Toss the seeds with olive oil and salt, and then return to the oven and bake until crisp and golden, about 20 more minutes.
Enjoy with a chilled glass of Candoni Organic Pinot Grigio!
